"I really like the way she approaches her business," the photographer told me. She has a high percentage of women in her life of 25 or 30 who like to be seen by a photographer and not saw by others, which may be especially the case in Los Angeles, where the world is so different than it is for her and her two daughters. After a few years of being on hiatus, Kim Young has finally been given a major role and has begun writing new stories, as I talked last summer. She's the creative co-ordinator of The Daily Photographers Association, which aims to inspire young women to help others make a positive, meaningful career. The organization has a reputation for creating an eclectic collection of photographers in addition to young women – a goal which is all the more true with the new young men they have hired.
